Florida Hospital Winter Garden, the ninth location for the Orlando-based Florida Hospital, broke ground in 2013 and officially opened in 2016. Its main 97,415 square-foot, three-story, emergency facility created new jobs for over one thousand employees, doctors and nurses in the area and now cares for both children and adult patients.
Acousti Engineering of Florida was a key part of the team that Barton Malow brought to this project. Acousti was responsible for the acoustical ceilings and specialty ceilings throughout the building. The specialty ceilings included a custom stained Rulon linear wood ceiling, Rulon Plasiline and Armstrong Infusion canopies, which were used to define the space, as well as a Rulon linear wood on the lobby walls and chapel. Seven different products from Armstrong World Industries were used on the project.
With so many different types of ceilings and different excellent products being used, attention to detail was crucial. Our expert installers worked hard to meet the deadlines for the quick, five-month project. In the end, Acousti was able to finish the project on time and without any issue due to our expertise and communication with the other team members.
