Altec Styslinger Genomic Medicine & Data Sciences Building

The Altec Styslinger Genomic Medicine and Data Science Building, located at the University of Alabama Birmingham, will accelerate research and development in personalized medicine, aiming to tailor treatments based on individual genetic makeup. ACOUSTI had the pleasure of installing Interior and Exterior Metal Stud Framing, Drywall & Insulation, Ensemble, Wood and Acoustical Ceilings.

The site presented logistical challenges due to its constrained footprint. Bordered by roadways on both sides, including one that passes directly beneath a portion of the structure, complicated material staging and exterior access. Another rewarding challenge was the evolving nature of the design. As the building began to be leased during construction, design modifications were required to meet tenant needs. Thanks to the precision and coordination with MJ Harris Construction Services, we were able to complete the project beautifully as well as efficiently showcasing the high-quality finish we are known for, while always maintaining the rigorous safety standards we uphold.
