UF Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & IT

The University of Florida’s Malachowsky Hall for Data Science & Information Technology is a state of the art facility bringing together several of UF’s prestigious colleges under one roof. Acousti’s Gainesville branch installed over 200,000+ SF of acoustical finishes on this UF interior design project with 50,000+ SF of custom wood ceilings from Armstrong World Industries & Rulon International. The project also features designer felt ceilings / walls from Arktura, Turf, & Autex. Difficulties with overall material procurement, jobsite constraints, scheduling, and out of sequence installations were all challenges that had to be closely coordinated and carefully monitored throughout the life cycle of the project in order for our team to be successful in our installation and execution of this monumental install. This flagship University of Florida project will help bolster future studies in AI, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Health Care, Pharmacology, & Cybertechnology to name a few and will have a LEED Platinum certification for sustainability.
